Just wanted to know if I needed to take the oil pump to be able to take out the crankshaft.I took off everything else tranny, clutch, head it a 96 gst by the way.I also need to know how to do that I mean I took off all the bolts around the oil pump but it seem to be stuck do I need to remove the oil pump gear?

yes you have to remove the oil pump you have to take the balance shaft pully off an the timing belt gear off the crank to get the oil pump off. just take a 22mm socket an hit that bolt on the end of the carnk there with an impact gun to zap it off quick then it should pull off. then just lift ## crank out
