Taillight sequence!

So finally i can get rid of this horrible altezzas I found a nice set of stock taillight for cheap! SO guys need your help here with some really noob question but it's because I don't remember any more can you refresh my memory about the taillight sequence?... So what i mean by sequence?

Taillights turn on under 4 main situations:
1. braking
2. turning the headlights on
3. turn signals
4. hazards/warning lights (which are the same turn signals)

Here is the best way i can explain it:

1. Is for when turning the headlights on and braking
2. When braking only
3 turn signals and hazards

So am I correct or no? Or all three are on al the time?
I'm asking this because in my car all three bulbs are on no matter what and they just flash depend on what I do.
And lets make this clear I'm not asking for the wiring diagram I have it, well short of but I can figure it out no big deal.

Mmmmm anyone please all you have to do is turn on the head lights and push the brakes an tell which sections light up!

I think 1 and 2 are brake and turn signal, 3 is on when parking lights and headlights are on.

All 3 lights on all the time. When you brake all 3 get brighter.

on my 99 GST all 3 bulbs light up for headlights on and turn signals/hazards...was not able to check brake light during the day but I'm sure all 3 light up as well.

Have someone press on the breaks/turn signals etc while you look at them.

sccrbrandon4788 got it right! All 3 come on only when braking and turn headlights on! Weird design I would say. It would make more sense that the farther out to be the turn signals!

My 96 didn't have bulb number 3 until I added. But yes, all 3 came on with headlights and with brakes.

1 and 2 are the turn signals I know that much. Because it bugged me that the turn signal didn't use the actual corner light.
