OK...last night i was driving around and my speedometer lights went out. when i got home my dad told me my tail lights were out. not my brake lights but my tail lights. i was wondering if anyone could tell me if you know what the problem could be. i checked the fuse box and they seem to all be in working order. please lmk if you can help me out.
thanks

yeah headlights are OK, but would a bad bulb cause the speedometer to go out too?

it's a fuse, i had this problem before... it's one of the cheap small fuses that are under the hood, not under the dash, i believe it's the tail light fuse, could be wrong on that one, but i know it's a fuse...because my side marker wires came lose and touched each other and that caused me speedo gaugse and tail lights to do the same.

I had never heard about this before on a DSM, but the same thing happened to my dad's Trans Am. I think it's a safety thing that makes the speedometer lights go out when your tail lights quit working, just to notify you. Look over your fuses again, like said above, and let us know what you figure out.

do you happen to know where i can find under the hood or buy that fuse???

Definately a fuse, I'm not sure if it's under the hood or in the box by the clutch pedal. It gives a layout of what's what on the fuse box cover.

yup, that's one... i just borrowed a fuse from the ABS untill i went to the parts store to buy a new fuse...don't expect to pay over $5 for this repair.
