Hi all!
I'm on my way trying to fix the car and make it a good street build.
Right now the car has the stock turbo manifold with a "MCGiver" welded to it, so now it has a subaru-style turbo
I know I can search for another turbo manifold, but the t3 that they are selling me is just $40
Looking at the dimensions, it should fit on the space available but it will need a slim fan on the radiator
I'm wondering if a "billet street performance" t3 from maxpeeding will do the trick for a fun daily, I have only driven slow cars so I think 380hp will be way too much power for me haha. Is there a "small" t3 that will spool fast enough to not feel the car laggy?
And also, and I think is my main concern, since most of the t3 the I have found are just oil cooled, will the stock turbo oil line work for this? I'm not sure if the flow will be enough or if a problem like that can occur.
Right now the downpipe has a 5 bolt flange, so I think I will be searching for that in a turbo.
In the future, and whenever I mount the t3, I will also install supporting mods and a standalone ECU because I like the idea of removing the factory MAF
I would like to hear your comments since I am a noobie and want to learn as much as possible
