T25 Turbo issues

I'm currently removing my turbo, I'm at the part of which I removed the exhaust side of the turbo bolts. I believe it's either 4-5 bolts. I'm the last one closest to the downpipe. The bolt size is 14mm, I'm using a breaker bar because I cannot break it loose with a racket. I've broke 3 sockets attempting to take it off. Am I doing something wrong?

Broke a couple sockets trying to get exhaust bolts off? Nope, sounds like you're doing everything exactly the way every one else does it. I broke my two best socket wrenches getting that damn T25 off. Use a LOT of WD40, PB Blaster, or whatever other penetrating lubricant you prefer. Soak the bolts, leave them overnight if you need to, and use a breaker bar. If you have access to it, use a torch to heat the bolts up and try again.

Oh yeah, I sprayed that puppy heavily. I'll try again tomorrow, it's too damn cold outside right now. Thanks for the advice.

go to your local autoparts store and grab some of that

spray it on there HEAVILY, let it sit over night. or at least a couple of hours, then get a breaker bar on it

if all else fails grind the SOB off

Now that's some real DSM advice right there. Incase I get carried away, where could I get new, fresh bolts? Not from Autozone, right? That's what my fellow DSMer told me.

you can probably take it to your local mitsu. dealership, or a local bolt store and have them matchit up

Actually, I checked the bolt again, it's nearly stripped completely bare! What do I do in this situation when the bolt is extremely hard to get off and, it's stripping!

if i were in your position, which oddly enough, i was 2 nights ago, cut the head of the bolt and take a pair of vice grips and clamp it on the stud and twist....worked for me

.. i say you just get a dremel.. .. and grind the sob off.. ... take advice from someone who's done it before.. too many times

I really don't have access to a cutting wheel or a saw for that matter. I don't think there is enough room to get a cutter in there. It's not that bad, the head is pretty stripped along the bottom, once I take it out I will have to get a new bolt obviously. I'm going to try it again this morning and see what results I get. Thanks a lot guys!
