T25 life span

how long does the stock t25 last? considering that i have a 99 and 88k miles on it. bone stock but im soon to install apexi intake, exhaust, and dp.

As long as its not boosted hard it will last a long time. Ive seen turbos make it to way over 100k miles. That turbo cant push more than 15psi and is straight crap. Also your stock 2g bov cant hold more than 15psi.

there's no way to answer that. It could last 200,000 miles (i know one that has)

It depends on a lot of things. Maintenance, manufacturing quality (which varies from turbo to turbo), how hard you are on it, etc... Mine went 130,000... the last 2,000 with me pushing it to 21psi. It had moderate shaft-play when I removed it, but it was still driveable, and still making power. Don't worry about it unless you see signs of it going.

Yeah don't overboost/overspin your turbo, it'll just blow hot air and shorten the lifespan of turbo (and possibly your engine). Good choice on the upgrades, they will help out the T25 a little and they will help out a new turbo even more down the road.

Mine's at 17psi and has 122k. No problems yet.

I agree, it all depends on how it was taken care of. Thats how some of us find these pristine cars because they were taken care of back when it counted...

I have over 133K on mine and she's gem, I know someone with over 180k on theres, just like pnishr said all depends on how you take care of it and drive it. But the evo 3 16g is going in very soon.
