This is what I got:

90ish trans (22 spline) from a TRE rebuild. Its been rebuilt and has the evo forks and spool. I ate up fourth gear and the front diff in about 7k miles of use.

I also have a 92 trans (23 spline) with the syncros gone from 1st, 2nd, 3rd.

I want to pull out at least the forks and syncros to swap into my 92 trans just for a cheap fix till I can afford the Shep Race trans. Will the forks, syncros fit in the 92?

Thanks

It depends on the production date of the 92 transmission. You have a greater chance if it came from a vehicle with a 6 bolt engine.

Both from a 6 bolt motor. The 92 is before 4/92, the 6 bolt car.

Did the trans change after they switched to a 7 bolt motor?

The tranny internals changed when they went to the 7 bolt motor 06/92 builds on. The 1-2 shouldn't be a problem and 3-4 shift should work for your production date. I have opened trannies to find different things from what I expected though.

As for the synchros in the 90 transmission, they will not work with the post 91.5 transmissions. There are several differences between them.
