Symptoms of MAS sensor failure??

The quick story, bought the car recently tested for boost leaks and had many. Stock side mount intercooler was shot and all the soft factory intercooler hose was leaking so considering its a project car for my buddy and I we put a fmic on. Johnnyrace car core and cutsom piping to the tb. Before this happened I took all the honeycombs out of the MAS and im thinking this may be the problem. Some days it will run fine, boost to like 11 psi, vac at like 17 psi and no fuel cut. Other days the idle will be irractic and when i boost it will creep up to like 13 psi and hit fuel cut. We did a leak test after intercooler install and i have no leaks up to the tb. Im wondering if its to MAS or something else..
