And its on my car! cool, huh?
I love it! Start it off with a 100% stainless Polk header, that is so clean it looks like a cast piece. Blow thru a GT32 turbo then dump into a 3" stainless pipe thats only like 2' long into a 3" aeroturbine muffler which is the only muffler I know increases power compared to open exaust. It's gonna be thermal coated and heat shields will block heat from the radiator. Finish it off with a stainless exit plate rivetted to the bump-cover with a second layer to allow for the flex of an engine under load. Ahhhh, what a tasty treat. Looks like a bike exhaust, huh? Bye-bye back pressure. :D oh, and fans will be between the front mount and the radiator...dont know if pushers or puller fan is better since it will be doing both.

Hahahah your using that Aero turbine exhaust muffler? [announcer voice] "Negative back pressure, the most HP gain you will ever feeellllll......." [/announcer voice] LOL..

http://www.aero-turbine.com/how/index.html

Thats obviously a track only setup for a pro class as most regular classes will not allow you to run your exhaust infront of the rear wheels. Also why did you loop it over instead of under? That a lot of exhaust to be running under the hood thats gonna create a whole piss load of heat right there.

I live in Arkansas, we can get away with anything here, we dont even have vehicle inspections. i love it. Our track probably doesnt even know that rule, if it is one, hope not. We went over cause going under was a super P.I.T.A. and it wouldnt fit. I really wanted a front exit and this set-up just worked out great. I'm hoping I can keep the heat under wraps with the coatings and shields; we'll see. Not my daily driver, but yes, definately a street car.

You could have made it shorter by getting a Buschur Alt relocator kit, and running it out the drivers side. That would have had no bends at all. Also make a heat sheild between the exhaust and the intake on the turbo.

man thats cool for you, one of a kind but i see absoulty no point for it. ya check out br alt reloc kit.

good work :thumb:

The point is low back pressure which in turn should equal horse power. Thanks for your compliments guys.

thats cool, mine and just about every other dsm has a regular exhaust coming out the end of our cars and i have no problem making power.

really cool design though i do give you credit. how do you fit your intake pipe and fans, and do you notice it being alot hotter under your hood, you should think about wrap or ceramic coating.

Its a good Idea for a track only car like JIM said but on a street car the heat will take the paint right off the hood :( . Inlet temps will be the same as the exhaust temps

I haven't noticed underhood temps being any hotter, and the paint on bumper and hood is fine. You all need to NOT talk if you DONT have experience with things. That's what I love about this board.. 100 people with tons of theory ancy to give advice, and not enough people with experience that actually knows what's going on.

That is the worst idea ever. It will impress locals at car club meets in the parking lots however.

Nice ricer muffler BTW. IRC loves that thing! So much for your "no backpressure" idea.

This is awesome. :thumb:

We've given this idea alot more thought than you guys have and it will work, I'm confident of that. And the intake temps wont be high, we've got that covered. Thats funny that you call a muffler rice, or anything else on my car, your truely ignorant.

No doubt that it'll work man. You can do a figure 8 with an exhaust pipe and it'll work. I just don't see any other point of doing this other than impressing others. So if you want a thumbs up from me, post it in the non-performance section.

God, what can I do to get your approval? I'm lost without it.

The best exhaust is no exhaust on turbo cars. N/a cars require a good header design, s/c cars I don't have any knowledge of, but would assume they follow the same principle as n/a. You don't want any backpressure on any motor, whether it be turbo, sc, or n/a.

if you posted that to impress people, im not sure it will impress too many. That is probly the dumbest thing ive seen. Good way to keep that radiator nice n hot, let that turbo suck in some real nice hot air, and over time, that till tear the paint right off the hood. And i also bet you arent making enough power for that to even make a difference over a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust. :thumbdown

And if your looking for th maximum flow/power from stuff, why the crap log manifold? and i hope you dont need a radiator fan.

My car with a stock thermostat barely breaks 90*c, usually runs between 80 and 85 unless I'm banging through the gears with the exhaust I posted above, what's yours run at?

I've had mine on all season, and know of another local who's had a similar exhaust for over 3 years, his paint is still perfect.

You get the :thumbdown for the dumbest post in this thread.
