supra sidemount

Im on a budget saving up for a Buschur 20g and supporting mods ,For the time being I want to make the most power out of my 14b and im starting with the intercooler.Whats you guy's think about the supra sidemount,performance wise,thanks

For the cost and the hassle spend the extra hundred for something like a SSAC FMIC.

For that money you can get a FMIC of ebay and it will do the job just fine, and you can use it with your 20g.

I have a Supra SMIC on my '92 TSi FWD and I love it. Total sleeper.


I bought it for $50 off eBay over 4 years ago. The piping was the easiest I/C piping I've ever run....a Dejon upper pipe works perfectly and all you need for the lower piping is a performance j-pipe, a silicone coupler to go from 2" to 2.5", a 2.5" 90* and a 2.5" 45* mandrel elbow.

However, I bought the Supra SMIC specifically for that car with the intent that I was never going to replace it or upgrade. If you're planning on going with a 20G later on, you'll want a FMIC....so spend your money wisely.

I should've included this in my pm...I'd say save your money and get a proper FMIC. Everyone's opinion is going to be different but I say buy a quality one, saving money for the short term isn't going to help you in the long run. A decent sized fmic won't hurt performance on the 14b too much, if at all, since most of the high hp, low ET 14b guys run larger fmic's. If you can make the piping work using a 50-100 dollar supra smic to get you by for now may not be a bad idea, provided you keep it in good enough shape to turn around and sell it for almost as much as you paid for it when you upgrade.
