So many like to look down on the 4g64 almost as much as my old 420a. Proved the 420a could destroy a 4g63. Now about to do the same with my new 4g64 seeing as to my last one passed on to a better life.LOL. Was wondering though if anyone could tell me rougly how much I can get out of that SOHC head. Last checked the supercharger going on was pumpin a nice 18lbs. Now I dont want to convert to DOHC unless someone gives me low hp numbers for the current head. Any advice as to which head should I go for?
 
The only time I've ever, and I repeat EVER seen a stock Non Turbo DSM pull on a Turbo one was when my 12:1 Compression N/T 4G63 was running.....and it only pulled on a Bone Stock TSI FWD...and once again just barely. Once the Turbo hits boost your Toast. Granted you can outrun SOHC Hondas all day long.....that Chrysler 420a was and ugly stepchild that most people just wanted to Beat. Also The Supercharger....I looked when i first got into DSM's and....I hope you have really really really DEEP pockets, but on a helpful note there is a guy that SC'ed a 4G63 in a Galant on here i think he was out of Australia...and he MIGHT be able to give you some pointers. I say look Him up because the 4G6- Platforms are for the most part the same they use the same Mitsubishi Sirius engine Platform...but im pretty sure he abandoned that idea a long time ago its just not practical......unless you have deep enough pockets to build some sort of Supercharged Turbocharged beast like the Scion TC Gojira project, and if your gonna do that........well...Have I seen you on one of those Speed Network Horsepower shows before??? :rolleyes:

:EDIT: Learn from my mistake, I tried being Unique and building a High Compression Beast that I wanted to Supercharge and be different....4 Years and 8,000$ Later....I have a 4G63 in a 95 Shell Turbo'd that I'm Still Trying to Finish. When If I had Listened I might be running 10's Now..... >.>

I understand what you mean but I'm just trying to do something different that I will enjoy. I just want to see what can be done then move on to the next project.

When did BMW start doing custom work on superchargers? Also how do you expect that a BMW supercharger will fit on something made by mitsubishi?

So BMW is going to warranty your custom, mini cooper, 19psi SC? Dude, I don't know what to say... Gonna be a small pulley to spin that bad boy to 19 psi...... Gonna run meth?ROFL
 
DUDE the LS VTEC head is the only head you should run. I mean dude com'on its got VTEC!!!!! and i know youre all about speed i mean you had a 420a and now a 4g64 spyders i cant think of any other cars that are faster. And a BMW supercharger ohhh goddddddd. That sounds almost faster than a single cam non vtec honda. Dude you know whats better than a VTEC head... a rotary head, you wont even need cams or anything its crazy.
 
i too am calling bs on the 420a beating evo's and sti's. my continental could probably spank it, LOL.
 
If we are gonna go there I have a 99 Supercharged VW beetle Id throw into that mix SC 2.0 8 Valve SOHC FTW

Just wanted to say something about my own previous comment. Maybe i am just dumb but i could have swore you were using a 2F&2F line about the Gallow 24. Given where my statement came from. Correct me if i am wrong.

You should see me LOL at how easy it is to get s**t goin when you put 420a and beating anything more expensive together. ROFL. Wifey got a good laugh too. But serious now. I am SC the 64 and we'll just see how much enjoyment I get outta that. It's nice to c how much people luv they're DSM's that one even suggested I buy a Honda. ROFL.
 
Yea. I guess the fact that stock they kinda got stuck at 145 and my 420A made it past 160 had nothing to do with it. Not saying they ain't pull away fast and far. Just saying that I did catch up. Now for the GS-T's they only get a half a car start on me. After we hit 40 mph it was bye bye. I actually wish I would have had a cam. I know it's hard to believe but oh well. So any advice on parts to help my new project?

umm, if i am not mistaken, you are full of shit..from what i understand, your car would gear out at like 150, not "past 160" by gear out, i mean, you have no more gear to make your tires spin faster, end of the line. but, somebody please correct me if i am wrong.
 
I think he was talking about 140hp hopefully. because sorry, GS/RS can barely mke it past 100mph before the wind starts maxing you out, and it take anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 minute to get from 100mph-120 in a NT 420a. The only way a NT could pull on a Sti or Evo is if they were Pulling into their driveway when you did a ricer flyby on 15 mph road.

All to come to a cludesac at 45mph and paul walker the Ebrake and heel toe double clutch to 2nd and convert to RWD and drft around almost touch the mailboxes, Pick up Dom, and drive off. All to smoke a ferarri minutes later using your two huge bottles of NAWZ. hope ya dont blowdtz urself up.
 
In case you have not noticed I don't think there is one person on here that believes anything you are saying.

he wants to make sure i blow a crew of sentras away. they claim to be the best yet they're lead sentra had a hard time catchin up to my stock spyder gs.LOL. i'll be havin pics up in the months to come. oh and it wasnt 18psi. its 19psi. they tested it out on another car and he things it might be more since we'll be making a custom damper. whatever happens i just need SPEED!!!!!

What kind of fast and furious town do you live in. :tease:
 
Want to know why it don't matter what most of say???? Google Norman EVO. Find out where his shop is located. Get a map and you'll realize he's only 15 min away from my house. If he thinks it can be done, I got the money to make it happen.

Look kid as a dsm community we tryto be a little supportive towards builds and what not and we also know as individuals and dsm enthusiast that not ONE n/t dsm any year any make could ever pull a evo sti or any fantasy cars you raced against while laying in bed. im sorry im beeing an ass at this point but come on your trying to tell a dsm COMMUNITY about these kinda things and you expect us to not pick up on these things. come on be for real

But hey all power to you... i got a couple underglow neons and i got some stickers ill send em to you so you can put them on your SC spyder and you gain some power. heck put those stickers on there and say your sponsors by Magnus and ACT. run the Vtec handata and you will be the fastest out there
 
Can you at least post a picture of your dam car so we get an idea.;) 420a beating an Evo and STI? An the other end this thread is getting intresting. I think I may have to subcribe to see where this ends.:|

Also, how can you not have one photo of your 420a DSM I want to see that Beast.:p Oh yay I also said to post your spyder up so we know how it looks like.

DUDE im telling you use the rotary head. Its simpler than your damn mivec heat. Trust me no cams anything its crazy it makes everything simpler. Your spider GS will be screamin fast. Then tune it on hondata. Its 10x better than dsmlink.

What the hell? were did you get that from? you would like that wouldn't you:toobad: and wind is not a big issue we have one of the lowest drag coefficient around and are cars are more streamline than alot of other cars.


How did you "prove" that a 420A can "destroy" a 4g63? Please, explain that to me.

I don't understand why you keep on persisting on that N/A 420A beating evo's and sti's...

The reason we don't believe you is not because we "look down" or "hate" the 420a engine, but more because of your lack of valuable evidence. It's fairly easy to convince us, just provide evidence, if it's not possible, which I highly doubt because anyone walking on evo's and sti's with an N/A 420a would want to rub it in everybody's face with videos, time slips, etc.. Until then, I'd consider it "bench racing".

As for the SC 4G64, there might be some people on here able to help you out, although I don't think the DSM community is the right place for it, but for heaven's sake, don't start your thread with: "My old N/A 420a used to walk on Evo's and Sti's, or else your just asking for it.
 
Wow. You have really insulted me. I'm a DSM man. Pretty much all I've own have been DSM's. To have a different car would be like exchanging sex. LOL. Trust me buddy. You'll see a SC in my 64.


This thread is an insult to TRUE DSMers.

if you dont have a shread of proof that your lil N/A could even hang near the rear bumper of a stock evo them maybe you should take this thread to dsmtalk where it will be appreciatedROFL
