Madhatter: First off that is the pic that is on www.boosthead.com, Mr. Knight's Web-Site.

Well until i get some pics I will be calling BS on this, not pics from his web-site, I mean real pic's that you've taken yourself. :dsm:
Um yea glad you cleared that up as I did say it was a thomas knight set up, Also I said it was a cheap concept to "mess" around with. You can call bs maybe on this guys set-up, but not the fact that it has been done. It has and the reason you don't see it around is like you said it sucked.

Oh yea, i know its been done, ive seen pictures on a supercharger site or two of em. Also i cant say it "sucks" since there really so rare nobody has bothered to do a 1/4 mile time on one yet it seems, or even a damn dyno run. Ill reserve my vote of the performance side for when i see a dyno......

But yea, its still BS unless he posts pictures real soon.

EDIT: Another thing, from the kits ive seen around (assuming you but the one premade kit out there ive seen so far) It is NOT cheaper than a turbo kit. I believe i saw a kit go for as high as $4000 or so. Now thats just a riduculous ammount of money when compared to a stage II Hahn turbo kit that we KNOW is capable of high power.

OK everyone has been calling BS so i took some quick polariads of the car while im waiting for my digital camera back....Im not saying that its the easiest thing in the world to do but i will tell anyone how to do it and you can make you own decision....The reason for the belt problem that thomas knight had was because 1. he used 2 idler pulleys that didnt allow for the correct angle of the belt going from the crank to the alternator and 2. because the pulley he was using didnt have the correct offset with the m64 for the 420a....the correct setup would be a single idler pulley on the upper alternator bracket and have a pulley from a 1993 probe v6 water pump drilled to accept the superchargers flange...Ive done this and im still on the same belt for over 4200 miles now...but heres the pics and i have posted my number for anyone that has questions regarding the process (as im sure there will be)

Yeah deff get us some better pics. If you get a good write up I wouldnt mind trying this. I was thinking about going turbo, but I would go super for that price.

Cool man, all is forgiven now! Sorry to be an ass but people have said this beofre and then vanished, props on being original.

no reason to say sorry....but i just wanted to let everyone know that is trying this you will have to clearance 2 places 1. a 2"x4" area on the firewall (to clear a hump on the supercharger..if not done you will get a vibration through the car) and 2. a 2"x3" section on the pass strut tower (and this is just to clear the bolt head for the supercharger)...thats all the modifications that need to be done to the body of the car

How did you acomplish the clearance? Did you cut it out or just smash it in with a hammer?

Are you gonna do a write up, and include all the parts and how to do it?
Come on dude do it :D

Yeah man get that write up done. I was about to go nitrous, but I can handle a $950 price tag for a supercharger.

I got the clearance by cutting then rewelding in sheetmetal for the firewall and for the strut tower i just cut a notch because it wasnt that big...as far as a write up i dont believe it will help that much...as you can see from the pics its basically a M34 supercharger as i said that replaces the upper part of your intake manifold..there are 3 cnc machined plates that go in between the supercharger and the lower manifold...lowest plate has the ports for the manifold dilled in it...the second one is just a completely open plate that acts as a plenum and the top one has the openings for the supercharger....all three plates line up with the supercharger in the back...but only the lowest plate is smaller in the front to clear the fuel rail and injectors....that plate bolts through the front middle holes in the lower manifold....the middle and the upper plates bolt together after that through the bolt holes in the supercharger....the correct way to gauge where to make the plates is to line up the bolt hole on the front of the supercharger right by the throttle body with the right(driver side) front bolt in the lower manifold..then everything lines up...for the throttle body you could use the huge GM throttle body or just use a single plate and drill holes to mount the throttle body at a slight angle so the throttle linkage could be attached....after this you just get a water pump pulley from a 1994 ford probe v6 and have to bolted to the flange of the supercharger pulley and bolt it on....then get your belt (feel free to call me if you want to know which one)...you will need to install a idler pulley on the upper alternator bracket to stop the belt from touching the frame rail...after that just install you FMU and you BKR7E spark plugs....then start the car and check for vacumm leaks...no leaks=go for a drive...you'll notice instant power...NO LAG AT ALL...
