Super safc2 install on my 92 talon awd

I need help...i find all these wiring diagrams and none seem to work...Can anyone help me find a legit diagram so i can hook up my afc? Thanks

Thanks for those other sites...but i saw those already...the vfaq one is different then the apexi site.. I dont know what one to follow and both of those dont show where to hook up knock sensor and or air correction...ALso air/flow and throttle are shown both different on both sites...None make sense, thanks tho

The VFAQ is the diagram just about everyone on this site has used to hook up their SAFC (its what I used too), its plenty legit and accurate. It even shows exact wire colors.

Use the APEXi intructions as another reference and get a tech manual, you'll need it later away. Even my Haynes manual has an ECU pin out diagram.

i had major problems when i used the vfaq diagram. i took it all apart and went by the diagram that apexi gives you with the product or you can download it. it worked perfect

I've used the vfaq dozens of times for wiring the safc, I've never had a problem.

The VFAQ diagram is THE diagram. I know for a fact its accurate because I used it and all of my friends used it, I also had the APEXi intructions and an ECU pin out. The APEXi intructions are actually wrong on one wire location (can't remember which one, its been awhile). So be careful using them.

If you can't do the install with the VFAQ diagram, then you suck at following simple directions.

They have intructions for 1G's and 2G's on the VFAQ site. Make sure you're looking at the correct diagram.

The two other wires with the crimps already attached are not used. Yellow, and whatever is attached to yellow... this is all in the VFAQ instructions. Sorry I'm not trying to diss you, but I'm quoting you this help right out of a document you could go read first hand like I did.

The APEXi intructions are actually wrong on one wire location (can't remember which one, its been awhile). So be careful using them.

They are wrong about where they tell you to hook up the RPM wire. You don't want to use a transistor output since that only has half of the spark signals. Use either the CAS signal as shown in the VFAQ or the tach signal from the PTM.

So the vfaq diagram is the way to go...So im assuming that everyone that owns a 1g has the same wire colors as mine and they say it worked great...well my wires dont correspond with what vfaq says...weird...it dont even say where to hook up knock or air flow

The wire colors in the VFAQ pictures are the SAFC wire colors that should go to the pins shown.
The knock function on the SAFC is useless and I didn't even hook it up but if you insist then the purple SAFC wire would go to pin 9 on the ECU.

The air flow wires are the pink and orange wires shown going to pin 10 on the ECU.

What color wires do you have?
