The other day i raced a guy down the road just messin around got the car to pretty high rpms. i pulled off the road and looked down at my gauges and my oil pressure was almost completely down to the L, so i babied it home and the closer i got to home it climbed itself back to normal. next day it was completely fine no problems driving like normal and i got on it again pretty hard and the oil pressure dropped yet again so i pulled over and let it cool off for a bit and after that it was fine. all day today its been fine no problems and no drop in oil pressure.
I assume maybe the oil got so hot running through the motor it got thin and when it went past the oil sending unit sensor it wasnt reading cause it was so thin. My school said the same thing. I would think the oil cooler would have prevented that? it only happens and high rpms running it for example 95 in 4th gear.
