Niether link works. Try again. But I would just go with Slimline fans. Most people on here with upgraded radiators are using them with there radiators.

Neither links work for me either. Slimeline is what I'll be using myself.

Thank you all for the replies. I ended up ordering a 16" Summit S-shape slim fans flows 2000cfm + and another 14" Flex-Lite slim fan 1500cfm+. I'll probably just going to keep one. I was being precaucious of the down time so I odered two. Keep my fingers crossed one of these going to fit. :sneaky:

Anything over 12" will not fit. Here's a pic of (2) 12's that I had on my radiator:
As you can see, a 14"or 16" fan would be way to big for the core of the radiator.

Nice setup!

I used to run dual 12" SBR slim fans but couldnt pull enough CFM to keep my temps below 212.

I plan to use a SINGLE fan. Im currently running stock fan on passenger and SBR 12" slim fan on driver (AC). SBR fan doesn't flows enough. I hope the 16" will fit and flow like they have advertised. The 16" has the width of 4", 14" fan has the width of 3.5". Remember, I will only use one of these, whichever fits the best. I will eventually going to add a pushe-type on the front. Perhaps SPAL pusher from RRE. I think a single 2000cfm+ fan + Fluidyne + new 180 t-stats + waterwetter + airdam for the FMIC and radiator is good for now. The weather is getting cooler anyway so, not too much of a concern there.

I will let you guys know...maybe with some pics. :sneaky:

ya i'm having the same problem right now! in summer my car runs at 212f! i'm running one 14" and one 9"

i got my fans from http://www.partzfinder.com/category_s/38.htm

You're running both the fans and still getting overheated? Either those fans arent flowing enough or you might have cooling system issue.

According to PartzFinder flow chart for their line of slim fans, 14" flows 1800cfm and 9" flows 800cfm+. How do you like these fans btw?

Flow charts are based off of a perfectly flowing radiator as well. If you car is like mine and all I had to do what take the radiator out, get a 90 degree pick and straighten all of the bent fins ( make sure you set aside an afternoon for this bad boy) then you will see and emense drop in temperature. Just by taking it out and straightening the fins I dropped from 210-215 to nothing over 203 at the worst. Car stopped overheating at drive-thru's and when it was idling down. Then fan will only flow as much air as the raditor lets through. If it's blocked, doesn't matter how big of cfm fans you got it isn't going to pull air. Just an idea if you take your radiator out.

Goodluck on your fans it seems you have your base's covered ordering 2 :thumb:
I'll bet that radiator looks awsome

I was wondering why you wanted slim fans anyway ?
Are you experiencing overheating, or are you building a kinda "show" car ?

I'm running a 50trim interenally gated with stock fans (both fiit back in) stock radiator, 2g race core fmic, full working AC system, 115,000 miles 3rd owner 1st modifier.

No overheating dash gauge stays were it did with the stock car. Here in VA, summer was 95+ alot of 80+ humidity days, stop and go traffic everyday both mourning and afternoon. about 40mins each way.

I put in fresh coolant with turbo install and alls well here.

wiring
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170592

Radiator
Pin1 White/Black - LO1
Pin2 Black - GROUND
Pin3 White/Blue - HI
Pin4 Blue/Green - LO2

Condensor
Pin1 Blue - LO
Pin2 Black - GROUND
Pin3 Blue/White - HI
Pin4 Blue/Black - GROUND

That's a big no-no. :nono:

If you read further into the thread, you'll see that this wiring method causes the fuse to blow everytime. Here is the correct wiring method for the radiator fan:

Blue-green AND Black wires to the fan's ground wire and
White-black AND White-blue wires to the fan's power wire.

There was no side effects to doing this like this and the fan operated just as the stock fan did. :thumb:
