Ive got a 95 eagle talon esi, 5 speed, 2.0l.. im rebuilding the engine and tranny this summer, and i need some suggestions on what i should get and what i should do. the car has 139,000 miles on it, nothing at all has been replaced; bone stock. hasnt givin me any trouble at all, but im looking to make it faster and to make sure im worry free of it giving me any trouble in the future. Im wanting to install a turbo on it b4 i drop it back in, and i need help on what turbo kits would be good for the car..

ONE MORE THING
Ive found some engines from a 1g talon both are good and both are turbo'd and im wonderin if i coudl drop a 1g turbo engin under the hood of my 2g....

NO the turbo4g63 motor will not fit in our car

AS far as what you should do will realy depond on how much you are looking to spend
re-build
clutch
lsd
turbo kit
exhaust

all of this stuff can get expensive so.............How much do you realy want to spend???

Thanks, im willing to spend as much as i can. that car is my whole summer project. And plus since my up coming job at autozone is pretty much in the bag. i should be able to order parts like crazy and get discounts.. and yea im pretty new to the DSM scene, just got the car about a couple months ago as a gift.. best thing ive ever gotten. :talon:

Well if you are looking to make it faster, then autozone doesnt really have what you need, aside from a few bolt ons, while i had it apart id go ahead and bore it .20, get rods, and have head work done along with bearings, rings, gaskets, waterpump, timing belt, valve seating, and whatever else u might do because rods and pistons are 600 bucks a set from Dodge, and id go ahead and get high compression pistons, and stronger rods isntead of doing it twice, if you plan on turboing i wouldnt get high compression, a 4g63t could go in, but you need alot of stuff, it isnt worth it, engine, wiring, ecu, tranny, exhaust, who knows what else. But that job should help you get moeny saved up Well good luck on ur project, i hope this helps, pm me if u need any more help

je pistons & eagle rods
clutch master clutch
quafie lsd
injectors too
star or HAHN turbo kit
AFX upd
MSD coil & wires
and cat back exhaust. A 2g GST aftermarket exhaust WILL fit on a 2gnt only get this item if you go turbo because it will be a 3'' cat back

also while your motor is out do
timming
water pump
oil pump

How much hp are you looking for???

Thanks for all the help, i was thinkin about gettin it bored. most of the rebuild im going to do myself, i have a pretty good bit of experience with engines and what not around here in Wv ya know everyone has a broken down truck/car/fourwheeler; anything you can think of. And plus im finishing up my 4th auto mechanics course. Im looking around 300 hp :rocks: (maybe im wishing for too much). Ive also heard somethin about adding a turbo to a n/t car would produce more hp than a stock turbo because of the higher compression. I know autozone dont have much of what im looking for, maybe some dress ups. But again thanks for all the help.

with a built bottom end and a turbo kit you could hit much higher power numbers if you have a proper fuel and tuning set-up.
