Yeah, so I posted a few weeks back about this. I was backing out of my steep driveway and my car popped out of reverse. So of course, Im like "WTF Mates?"

So I try again and all goes well. After this, my tranny pops out of reverse like every time I back out of my driveway. This all sucks because I had just gotten my shift-rod linkage replaced in my tranny a month or so prior and I'm thinkin well, I should have a warranty, but come to find out, since this was a "minor" repair there was nothing warranted. (CRAP) So I go on with my reverse popping out every morning on my way out the driveway until a few weeks ago...

Im backing out, and trying to hold it in reverse so I can get out of my damn driveway, and it poppes out like twice (yeah, yeah...I shouldnt have held it in...) So I put in the clutch, put it in N and drift back down the driveway to hopefully get up some better momentum this time, and OH SHIT! My car is clicking and clunking back down the driveway....This sucks....Anywho, I pull the tranny, tear it apart and this is what I find...(Click here to see pix..they are too big to insert)

Yeah I tore that shit apart...anywho...I then call the dealer, get a parts break faxed to me, and I circle the gears I need and send it back. Guess how much?? $650!!! Luckily I found a used one, just rebuilt w/ a busted diff for $265 shipped in the classifieds. So I guess I'll just swap mine out...

Just thought I'd share the story...I wish I had the money for a freakin TRE or Shep tranny......

if you look at the pics, I circled the gear I broke + the 2 around it. The 2 that connect to the broken gear were pretty chewed up. Also, the main reason it was so expensive was bc the broken gear was a one-piece thing with 2 gears on it and the same for the one in the pic on the left. THAT one is a whole damn shaft. They were each over $200 a piece.
