Stupid question on sealing gaskets

I'm suffering from a really bad boost leak and i just got in my gasket from STM. What do you recommend putting on this to get a really good seal?

I hear alot about RTV and copper anti-seize or something like that, but I really don't know. Trying to stop the squealing. Thanks guys!

edit: if you could recommend something specific from Autozone or Ace, I'd REALLY appreciate it

edit: its a gasket between intercooler pipe and throttle body (on the left in the pic)

between the intercooler pipe and the intake manifold you have the throttle body gaskets, and then the intake manifold gasket, again what gasket?

anyways, neither of them require any sealant. by adding sealant you are messing with the way the gasket is meant to seal, causing a leak and basically wasting your time.

edit, to your edit, that is a throttle body gasket set. no sealant required.

NOTE: the paper gasket has an index nipple, it means to have it pointing up this mates between the throttle body and the intake manifold. and the metal gasket has the protruding ring out, this side goes "in" the throttle body and mates the throttle body elbow pipe to the throttle body.

Throttle body gaskets are the worst replaced it 3 times and torqued to spec and still leaked. Gray rtv works like magic. Make sure you torque to speck. I believe it is 14ft lbs

You had some other issue. Dont ever, ever put rtv on anything involving the intake. It will block areas meant to be left open, and doesnt seal well on a boosted application anyway. My engine has absolutely no gasket sealer anywhere on it and absolutely no leaks either.

Yeah if your having gasket sealing issues, try cleaning the mating surface properly.

Use a hard block and sand paper, use rough grit to get most of the old material off, then switch to finer grit and get it nice and shiny, then wipe clean with some carb cleaner and a shop towel.

The Gasket you have there is metal, If you don't have a good, clean and flat surface, it will never be able to seal,.
You might have a bad surface,...

You have only 2 options, 1 is,

Clean the area very well and use a different gasket (not metal).

Your second options is,

Take the pipe side and the throttle body to a shop to have it resurfaced and you will be good to go, But make sure they do a milled job, (do not let them use the sand belt), the sand belt is not accurate and will leave deep grooves.

I use it on freeze plugs when I install them.

Tacking paper gaskets in place.
on oil galley plugs, or any NPT plug being installed
Water temp sensors, and other assorted fittings

Yea i know bogus, im just playing. It tacks up, but never sets, and cant block passages or contaminate oil/coolant.
