If I already have an AFCII would there be any benefit to put a GM MAF and translator on the car? is a GM MAF better than a stock 2g maf, and what makes a blow thru maf a blow thru maf. isn't it coming off of an N/A car?

Not for tuning, but there are other reasons to put a MAFT in your car.

what other reasons? besides the ricer vent to the atmosphere. :p

If your on a tight budget, its better to recirc rather to vent to the atmosphere. Still sounds good.

The recommended MAF's will continue to flow and meter air well past the point where a 2G MAF will start overrunning and dropping counts. Even if you don't want to run blow thru to vent it gives you options on how and where you want to mount your filter.
