thunder bay,
came across this photoshop in the forum a while ago and i was wondering if anyone has ever actually done this to their door speakers, and if so, how and what mods would be needed. i don't know much about car audio so any help would be appreciated. i was thinking maybe phoenix gold 6x9's?? thanks.

there is no reason to do that... even the biggest 6.5s will fit behind the door panel...

this fellow just wants to show off his speakers instead of keeping them...

Not 6x9s up front... 6.5s or 6.75s

Like Attack Eagle said, there is really no advantage in having 6x9s up front, I wouldn't waist my time with it.
I've done something similer to that, I just cut a 6.5 inch hole in the plastic door panel, modify the existing plastic speaker bracket to hold the new speaker, place your speaker cover on, then put the door panel back on.
The key is to get a flush fit, or it just looks like a hack job

There you go all done

i do that to carz i use fiberglass tho im not the best explainer but i no how to do it its very easy but the cost efficient was is just put the speakers that fit ur car if u wanna spend the money ill tell u how to do it if not just buy the speakers for ur car
