Stumbling Issues & More!!!

Hey Everyone,

I've been out of the DSM game for almost 3 years & recently got myself back into it. I'm having the following issues & will randomly clear it's self out.

This issue has been really bothering me lately & just started happening when the weather got nicer. By nicer i mean 60+ & raining. Before this, i've never had an issue with the car stumbling & running pig lean at idle.

I will turn the car and give it a little thottle around 2500 RPMS and it feels like it's being starved of FUEL. SO i waited about 3-5 minutes & tried it again & it was all better with no issues.

Just this weekend i did a hub assembly replacment and it was raining outside around 60 degree's & it did it again...then randomly cleared it's self out....then on the way home...it was worse than ever...my AFR while driving where very LEAN like 15-16.5:1...mind you while this was happening i wasn't knocking..

Then this morning i thought i'd Richen my globals from -38% to -37%...i did and then it slowly started to run fine..then i put the globals back because my AFR's where around 12.5:1...then it cycled back to Stoich 14.6-15.4:1..

Attached is a DSMlin V2 log at idle.....I almost think it's an AIR FLOW issue & or global / tuning issue....Any help from the gods would be greatly appreciated..as i am kind of in the dark now from not being in the game for soo long!!

But unless I'm missing something, that log shows none of the problems you're describing. It just looks like a nice clean idle log.

Grab a log of the car misbehaving and post it on the DSMLink user's support forum. If you don't have an account, contact me off line and I'll get information to you on what we need.

In the log, please add throttle position (ThrotPos), idle switch (IdleSw), A/C comp, and ISCPosition.

Problem fixed....wow.....is all i can say!


One of my spark plug wires rubbed against the intake CAM gear & it was grounded out....wow.....sometimes thinking too hard you miss the easy stuff..
