Ok so about a year ago I bought a TD06H-20g with the 10cm housing for my completely built 4G63. Recently I started noticing slower spool when all of a sudden BAM, super hot water temps. As most have already concluded, yes blown head gasket. While i'm in there i notice the carbon burns on the head which leads me to loose exhaust studs, which leads to yes you guessed it, stripped stud holes
So I have this retarded spacer plate between the head and the header for clearance of the turbo so the stock studs are too short and I remember that the studs I bought were borderline too short. So looking at the ones I have and giving myself more stud I come up with 2 - M10x1.25x28mm and 7 - M8x1.25x28mm. Am I retarded in my measurements because I just can't find them anywhere. Everywhere i go they want me to use threaded rod cut to lengh. Besides the possibility of, later, screwing the stud too far in and punching through the head, anyone think the threaded rod idea is a bad one?
