Stucl in gear and wont move

I have a 93 talon Tsi just swapped out the tranny well since the swap the car is stuck in fifth gear I cannot move the shifter into neutral no matter how hard I try I do know the tranny is from a gvr4 if that matters I checked the clutch fork tob and all fluids everything is where its suppose to be. I let the car sit overnight and now it will not roll whatsoever with clutch pushed or anything. Im completely lost and don't want to be robbed by a mechanic can someone tell me what might be wrong and the price to fix it

Oh boy. If it is something that solid, I would un-install and make sure you have everything in its proper place. There could be 38108 things that "could" be resolved. Take it apart, and put it back together slowly and check your torque specs.

When you say swapped trans what all did you do to new one you put in?

I had an issue like that before.it happend one day after I did a hard launch,the car would not come out of 3rd gear.I figured I had messed it up so I began to remove the trans. For a new one.when I jacked up the trans. To remove the trans. Mount I heard it come out of gear and tires moved freely.I was now able to go into all gears.the trans. Had broke the bell housing and had seperated from the block.maybe you didn't bolt up the trans. All the way,it might be seperated just a little causing you not to go into gear.

can you manually shift it from the top of the tranny?? my shifter cables went out on me and I couldn't shift gears :/

Check the cables and did you put new fluid in the trans to see what color or chunks come out. Before pulling it out have someone rock the car while stuck in gear and see if it will pop out. If it does could be a bad hub. Hope the best.
