so im heading down the parkway leaving a toll booth... i start to pull away, shifting from first, to second... i put the clutch in to go to third shift into the gear, put it in third and let off the clutch... i put my foot on the gas to accellerate and the thing just revs. I pull over to the side of the highway to try to get it out of "third" with no luck. It looks like its in the "third" position, but the thing just revs like its in neutral and will not shift out of that position...any ideas what it could be?

If you smelt something burning when this happened, it's probably your clutch. This sounds almost like the same thing that happened to me.

Same exact thing happened to me.

Needless to say I am rocking a AWD tranny now and have no regrets with the swap. I broke the hub in the tranny case and a piece of it was stuck in the gears. It was stuck in 3rd gear and it wouldn't move.

I hope it is not the case for you. Good Luck!

when it broke was it accompanied with a noise or sumthing?
