On my lunch break I was heading back to work and Just as I was turning into work I shifted hard into second and now it is stuck, it seems like the shifter is pulled back further than normal. I tried searching a little, but not much luck...could it be something in my linkage or is it possably in the tranny. I'm kinda stuck here till I figuer something out. everything else was working and running smooth until this happened out of nowhere....
thanks for any insight,
derek

UPDATE:
well it took both hands pushing as hard as I could, and 2 bloody nuckles from slaming my hand into my dash when it let loose, but it's free and shifts just fine again...any ideas as to what happend?
thanks,
derek

Mine did this once when i was launching and hit 2nd really hard, the shifter was back further just like you say as well. It turned out the bracket for the shift cables on the tranny was loose and allowed something to move where it shouldn't have, i was able to get it undtuck under the hood easier than from in the car, then i tightened the bolts and it hasn't happened since.
