Day before that I drove at night and noticed the lights for HVAC controls and dash weren't lighting up. Didn't think it was an issue but A couple days ago battery dies while putting in license plate lightbulb sockets.

It died abnormally fast going from starting fine one minute to not a single crank.

I jumped it today and went for a drive to charge more and set openloop throttle threashold to 85% to get some maf data in closed loop. It made it not even a qtr mile before all power cut out and wouldn't turn over.

A guy helped me and charged it up , and was seemingly normal. I noticed the openloop thresholds didn't Save in ecu . Had a feeling this was the case because I got a connection error from link when trying to flash reflashed successfully but with about another 1/4 mile it was dead again

Wouldn't start back up power was just about done. Fuses were popped. The large 100a fuse in the engine bay, along with a few 15a and I don't know what they went to because my fuse box top was at home. I just had it off to troubleshoot lights.

Any ideas what could cause this?

Sounds like dead alt to me too. When I had the same problem the car drove on battery. I'd check your battey to.

The dash started to dim and then slowly the car bucked at cruise speeds til the battery ran out juice n gave up. If your sensors vital to ecu have low voltage they will start to shut down also.

Sounds like it's the alt I'll get it fixed. Thanks guys

All of these fuses are the ones I believe went. Just going by memory here. Could a failing alternator do this much damage?? While I was stuck I tried to jump the 100 amp using limited tools.... I'll obviously replace.
