Hey all,
Doing basic maintence. Bought my new fuel filter. My current one has never been changed...Why would the previous owners never change it after 120,000 is beyond me...
I've been prying on it for three hours!
PB blaster, 19mm socket, air rachet, 6 foot cheater bars. doesn't do a thing. any clues or suggestions? it's the top nut that won't disconnect from the fuel line. and i DON"T wana buy a new line, that's a waste of money!

Thank you all for suggestions.

I really can't even fathom how it would not have come off by now unless you are turning it the wrong direction. If what you said is all true I really see no alternative to cutting the line but keep on trying it should come off.

I had the same problem with mine, I ended up stripping it and cutting the lines and getting a ss pump to rail kit.

Over time they do seize up a bit and 120k is a lot of time! LOL. But if you are putting that much force on it and it hasn't stripped yet, then I recommend just upgrading to a filter to rail kit as stated above! Good Luck

Woot! got it!
Had to get the impact on that sucker
bottom thread was a pain too though.

The B*tch of it was that carquest sent me the wrong filter. I called up and they said they have 3 available ones...Why didnt you tell me that to begin with? so he's ordering them all so i can compare.

Thanks for all your responces
