Hey guys. I drove to work t today and the car ran good until I pulled into work. I stopped to let a car pull out and mine died. I tried to restart it and it cranked but wouldn't start. I came out to go home and it took a little too get her started and I had to hold down the gas pedal. If I just let it idle, it idle around 3-400 rpm. I can step on the gas and it revs right up. I just replaced the alternator yesterday and the belt today. Not sure what is going on or what to do. I kinda need to get home though. Any help would be appreciated.

Replaced my gaskets last night. Seemed to idle a little better without a gaping exhaust leak. Pulled my iac and did a key on test. It just vibrated and moved both ways about 1/16 of an inch. Pretty sure it needs to be replaced. Hopefully replacing it will solve the issue. Going to order it tomorrow, I'll update once it comes in and I install it.

So, I tested 2 different iac valves tonight. Both seemed to work correctly. It's still trying to die when I put it in gear. Should I try it with it unplugged to see if it could be the ecu not running it correctly? I'm taking the throttle body off tomorrow to clean it and see if maybe that helps. Could this be an issue with my fuel filter being clogged or my injectors being partially clogged? I'm starting to run out of ideas on what this could be and I need my car to be road worthy. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Ok, so the other day i cleaned the injectors the best I could. It starts and idled better now,a little high, but better. I noticed a slight knock when I rev it in the #1 cylinder. I also noticed that I have about an inch of free play in my timing belt between gears. Could all of these problems be caused by it jumping teeth and out of time? Also I know I need to replace my motor mounts. Could the massive drop in rpm when I shift into gear be caused by the twisting of the engine? Any help is appreciated. I just really need to get this car road worthy
