I realize that all angines and cars are diffrent. but any idea what the diffrence in hp there would be with say 15psi?

ok, 2 different guys on 2gnt..

one with a 2.2L stroker made 236hp@13psi untuned, he has tuned it some and now makes 272hp@13psi....

on the other hand there was a guy who had the 2.0 and made [email protected] there isn't a shitton of gain from it

Can I ask who you are comparing Justin? I just want to make sure you compare apples to apples here, as I don't see how using the stroker motor would cause you to loose HP VS a 2.0L motor. That is against the laws of science...
If you have all things equal (like turbo size, head work, cams, tuning, etc..) then the 2.2L motor will make more power. If these things are not equal (like one using a 16g the other using a t3o4e, or one havind head work and the other having all stock) then there will be a diff. in HP.

displacement is the measure of litres. displacement is the volume difference between TDC and BDC

and to Xander, isnt howells 2.2L?

As far as I know I have Howell's 2.2L in my car as does Kirby.

They dont have a 2.3, unless its something new that they are offering.

The way to find volume (or displacement, it's just a choice of words) of a cylinder is by (pi/4)(bore squared) time the stroke. That's the area of the cross section, times the height. If you increase the height (stroke) you increase the volume. And since volume and displacement are the exact same thing, increased bore increases displacement.

Now, displacement (or volume) is measured in a few various units. On the domestic side, they use cubic inches (ci) , on the import size they use Liters or cubic centimeters. One cubic centimeter (cc) = 1 milliLiter. 1000 milliLiters = 1 Liter. So a 2000cc engine = 2L. One Liter is just under 61 cubic inches, so a Ford 5.0 is 302 cubic inches. A 2L dsm engine (isn't it actually 1997 cc?) is about 121 ci.

Blablablabla bore makes up part of volume, which = displacement, and that's measured in various units. See above.
