Hey, thought you guys could help me out with this. I'm looking for 400whp, and wanted to know which turbo kit would be better for my goals.

The treadstone kit is $1800 roughly, and claims you can reach 600whp with the biggest turbo you can get with it. That's more than I need.

This kit, I have no idea who makes it, but it claims the turbo that comes with it can produce up to 350-400whp. I'm cool with that. I just want to know if anyone else has heard of it, if it's a decent kit, etc.

Thanks everyone, and don't post a bunch about what I need for my car to even be able to handle 400whp, I already have that taken care of.

The second kit looks like a cheap "eBay-brand" style turbo kit. The WG is a no-named product which are usually not good as well as the turbo. I wouldn't do it and just piece your own kit together.

Alright that's what I thought just thought I'd make sure. Figured it was a "too-good-to-be-true" ordeal. I'll just go w/ the Treadstone. It's a great priced kit and it has more power than I need, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Resolved.

Sorry to kinda take over this thread but I have a question also. Say I want to just run my 420a with a turbo at around 5psi for daily driving, nothing crazy, just want a little more power. Would an ebay kit be okay plus the missing pieces, or would I be better off going with the treadstone also or making my own kit? Thanks alot

To both of you guys asking about your turbo kit:

Build your own kit. You will be much happier with the results. Reason being is you will have to learn SO much about the way the system works, in order to build your kit that when you are done you will be a turbo-Guru in training. You will have a ton-more to learn, but start studying the CFM's of your car, and comparing them to flow-maps on turbos you are considering purchasing. If you can understand lb/min instead of HP/TQ you will be miles ahead in learning to build your car. If you keep this in mind you will be able to purchase a turbo with the right powerband for your application/goals. Then once you decide on the "Flow" you are looking for, its alot easier to narrow down the fuel delivery that best suits your application.

Plus you are less likely to break it if you spend a ton of time learning and have so much personal effort involved. Learning is the best thing you can do if you are serious about boosting your car. Good luck either way, there is plenty of information out there to learn what you need to know!
