stripped splines on clutch disc

Wow has anyone ever had this happen

The inside of my clutch disc that slides onto the inpunt shaft is ocmpletey smooth
Its an ACT 6 puck with a 2100 PP
If i use the 6 puck that happens if i use a street disc it breaks apart and springs go everywhere
WTF is wrong?

I don't know the mileage, but the puck disc is not meant as a long mileage part but more of a race part. The splines will wear out faster if you are running a lighter flywheel or aftermarket front crank pulley due to increased torsional vibrations. If it wore out in under 20,000 miles I would check for misalignment. The same is true with the street discs coming apart prematurely. Contact me directly by email if you want more information.

It was under 1 thousand miles .... i am running a fidanze but i did align the clutch with the provided tool

Clutch alignment has nothing to do with it. Engine alignment is what causes premature wear. If the engine dowels are out of place or the engine to transmission bolts come loose, you will also have misalignment. ACT will only warranty the part if it is defective. In this case, if the hardness is not right, then it will get warranteed. If it isn't warranteed, the cost is nto that much to change a hub.

More importantly, we have to figure out what is causing this. Even with a dead soft non heat treated part, I can't imagine wearing out the splines in that short amount of time without something wrong. If you get a chance, Email me some close up photos of the flywheel and pressure plate surface. Sometimes I can tell if there is a problem from looking at the wear pattern. Let's see if we can get some answers for you.

Found the culprit ...missing the rear dowel pin from the block...woops
