Hi everyone. Still new to the forum, trying to figure out a hot stutter issue. All the details for that are in my intro post. Would love help on that but maybe before that please help me figure out what this mystery rewiring is?

(Edit, looks like it's for theft prevention override or something)
97 Spyder 4G64, mysterious green wire, running from starter relay under steering wheel(I believe) to a plug behind the radio. There's a cut wire that's clearly been replaced by this rogue wire on the relay. Is this a typical repair of something I should leave or fix asap? Thank you!

First pic with two green wires is the starter relay, you can see the cut wire it replaces and goes to a plug behind the radio. In the garage now so happy to take more pics

Upon further research it looks like my two starter relay are now wired together? Possibly to override some theft prevention? Looks like it's okay. Don't you hate finding random wiring?

Now on the stutter issue...

If you have a MT, people often unplug the green/black wire from the starter relay so neither the clutch pedal position switch nor the factory theft alarm starter relay will prevent the starter from working. Usually it's the theft alarm that gives people problems so this overrides it for the starter circuit.

Thank you, this makes sense to me
