Strange humming

Well I just got my car back from the shop. They just put a fresh JDM in it. But as soon I got it I started hearing this weird humming. At first I thought that it was just road noise from the tires. Now I'm not really sure what it is. I just had the trasfer-case recalled last year. So I don't think thats it unless the jackass's forgot to fill it up. I did notice it gets somewhat louder if I turn sharp enough. It does it in neutral as well as in gear and also when the car is off but still coasting. Its coming from the front of the car. Now I'm kinda thinking axles or CV joints (although those are fairly new to). The car was sitting for about 6 months. I'm gonna get check the transfer-case and cv boots tomorrow but what do you guys think.

Maybe it's the power steering rack. I'm not to familiar with how they work(because I've never torn into one) but I'm just throwing out ideas. I would check to see that the power steering fluid is at the proper level.

I'll check that out to. I still havn't gotten a chance to get under her yet. Have to clean the damn garage :thumbdown
