ok i just bought this 95 gst, its my 1st turbo car and 1st eclipse ever, and its been giving me a hole bunch of problems but i ended up solving most of them, well my mechanic did. but on to the real problem it will not stop overheating and ive bought 2 new radiators and finally i installed 2 fans so it could cool it down and also a bigger thermostat and it still over heats and but when u pull over and let the car cool while being on the needle starts to go down so i have no idea. and last but not least they tell me that my wastegate is broken and i have no clue what that is, is it important? i guess it is because when i tried putting up the boost on it it just stayed a 5lbs. so what should i do can i repair it or should i get a new one or what because i want to push it up to 15lbs. right thats what it should be on a stock gst 4g63 turbo motor right i have no clue and sorry if i dont make any sense i just have no clue on how to explain the problems so if anybody can help that would be awsome!!!

sounds like your headgasket if you see bubbles in your coolant reservoir when idleing. Let your mechanics check for exhaust gas in the coolant.

id satrt looking for a used 14b off a 1g.the wastegate is internal so it isnt cost effective to repair.i just sold a 14b for $75,im sure there are plenty of deals on one.just not ebay,LOL.also have your mechanic pressure test your cooling system to tell were the leak is comming from. the bubble method is only clear if the leak is bad.by then you have big problems.good luck and stick with it, once this thing gets running right, youll love it.now go weld that waste gate shut,hahaj/k.
