Ok I did some searching but found nothing. when I have my data logger pluged in at idle it reads 850ish rpm but the stock tach reads 1200ish. why is it so far off and will this affect the trans and its shifting? by the way its an auto awd.

any help is welcome.....except the get a manual remarks i am already wishing that.

thanks
Chris

The stock tach on my 1g reads different than my logger too. I had an Autometer tach once too and it gave a different rpm than the stock one and my logger. I wouldn't worry about it if the cart is still running good.

Did adding the logger directly effect how the car idles? Is anything else?different than it was before adding the logger?

it doesnt matter if the logger is in place or not the tach reads wrong and I am just wondering if that would be the correct rpm that the ecu and tcu see or is it was on the logger. if its the tach rpm then it would explain why it feels like i start in 2nd , if not then I aint got a clue.
