NORTHAMPTON,
Anybody know if this filter will work on a 90 AWD TSi. I have a lifter tick and I posted earlier and I was told to use an OEM filter on my car. SO I voyaged out to Kelly Mitsubishi and told the kid what I needed, and after he did the Mitu/Eagle conversion, he brought me something that looked like a red bull can. I told him that was too small, and then he brought me this. It looked about the same size of my Fram filter, but it didnt start with MD. He told me it would work though. Wondering if anyone knows if this will work. I wont get to my car until Sunday, so I can still swap the 4 of them I bought out if it is teh wrong one. I guess Im looking for MD031805 or MD352626 if teh other is too big to clear my 3" dp??I also found a MD325714 online?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the space.

These filters are M05281090

Using an OEM oil filter isn't going to stop your lifter tick, sorry.
Stick to the $2.50 Powerflo filter, and if you want to stop the tick, either band-aid fix it with Engine Restore(works, trust me-for a couple months or so anyway) or fix the problem by removing the design flaw-get revised lifters.

Thanks to all you who emailed me. I never even suspected that Fram was a crap filter, it seems that everyone who used one had lifter tap, and teh more I read the forums the worse I felt about how poorly I have been traeting my engine (But it has the non-slip grip). I will try out the OEM filter and post the results back. I think I am also going to switch over to amsoil as well. My uncle's work is an authorized dealer, but he told me that when you do the initial engine flush it can clog up the oil pick up screen if your engine is that crudy (Anyone have a problem???). Hopefully the new filter and some thicker oil along with some lucus can quiet the tick until spring when I can get some head work done. Thanks again.
