stock gst running 13.6 @106 anyone done this ?

yeah i need tires and a fmic still i would like to hit a 1.9-2.0 60ft to reclipser i see you are from ohio so i imagine you will be at the shootout so maybe we should line up sometime :p thats the only way your going to understand im running 13's well atleast was running 13's .

i still need to get some stuff done with the dsm for me to goto the shootout but i will be there with john viperlp -sn AND SOME OTHERS... SEE WHOEVER IS GOING THERE IN OHIO
 
There is some clown on dsmtalk saying he ran 11s on a 14b, then we all found out it was a 20g.
 
I had a stock fuel rail in my car when i ran a 11.8!
 
STOCK RAIL ...thats awesome im sure there are quite a few dsms running great times with very little mods .thats the beauty of a 4g63 engine /good driver
 
O.P., did you use the turbo that came with your "JDM" engine? It could very well be a 16g. I have a Evo316g with cams, LSD and suspension and with a 60' of 2.2, I did a 14.1 at 102mph last night.



Yea but this 14b is CRAZY!!!! puts out as much power as a gt42r ;) :sneaky::banghead:
 
let me tell you i see this car almost everyday and still can not believe that it is running as good as it is with the stock setup. i was running a 14b with hks exhaust and fmic with maf and maf translator and he was walking on me like crazy. then i even got a aem ugeo and evo 16g and redid my intercooler piping to a short route and swapped in evo 560 injectors and guess what his car is still dusting mine with a stock smic and 14b and stock exhaust the only thing he has done recently is 750 injectors and a APexi neo with aem ugeo.... this car is wicked fast for what it has and i belive everything he is saying and the motor is all stock
 
i pulled the numbers off the turbo and put them in and they ad the same numbers as a 14b. the only thing that i cant figure out on the motor is the intake. this motor is what they call a JDM motor where you buy it used from japan or something and you get whatever comes on it. the head looks the same as long as the tags on the block but the intake is different nto a 2g intake its not a 1g intake and its not a cyclone. i dont know if this motor could possibly be out of an evo or something but i know there should be no reason why the car is running the way it is. we both did a highway pull next to each other at 35MPH to 75mph and he jumped out of the roll like my car was standing still and then continued walking on mine. I was even brake boosting.
 
I have rolled this car and lets say i didn't beat him from a roll. I am a true low 13 probably a high 12 sec car now i have fixed some suspension and misses.. I know i can beat him from a dig but the roll in his car is sick. I promise you this car is legit so an we get to the discussion about his engine. He is going to post some more pics

the intake mani looks like a EVO3 intake... They suppostly flow way better than the stocker..:hmm:

i stopped at the dsm graveyard yesterday they said the intake is way different but he didnt think it was a evo one ..i bought the dejon intake from a guy who worked there for 30 bucks though ! :p im glad that a few fellow dmrs from my area posted about my car though . i will be at the shootout in ohio if anyone wants to check the car out .
 
this car is legit.... this past weekend we were at the local meet and a Talon TSI AWD showed up tuned by that shop called SHOWDOWN or something but anyways it had a AFC NEO 16g HKS external wastegate 3inch exhaust FMIC 750cc injectors Open O2 dump and was tuned by showdown... lets just say this car got smoked on the highway from a 35MPH roll... i don't know whats up with this car but for being almost stock its super fast... so i don't know if there is something up with this motor or just showdown sucks at tuning but hey this car will be with us at the shootout if you all wanna see it.

Its not rocket science. You put a 14b on a car with an evo 3 IM and head that is perfectly sized for it. Ofcourse its going to have some decent mid range. The "JDM" motor you have is just a 2g 7 bolt (even if it did come from an evo III). There is no mystery here. The car has nothing stock about it, the term stock should be removed from every post in this thread.

How do I know this?

I install these all the time for people because they buy them from a local importer in Orlando. That is defintely a motor from an evo III.

Also, if you used the turbo that came with it, thats the evo3 16g every one uses, the cams are also slightly better. The fuel injectors should be larger as well if they came with the motor, you would know if those were on because your car would run like shit.
 
the motor came with a 16g but the fins were chewed to hell and it came with 510 injectors i think.... so that is really an evo motor... well let me tell you it makes a huge difference.. but yah thanks for the help i was wondering why i was getting ran
