Stock fuel gauge not working (After fuel pump install)

I installed my walbro,and soldered the power and ground wires correctly. Everything is Ok except for the fuel gauge is not working, neither is the fuel light. I ran out of gas the other day without warning. Is it possible my gauge is bad on the cluster, or my float is stuck?

Thanks I will check the float. I have a spare cluster just in case.

i can't figure my issue out either. The gas gauge works from alil under a half a tank to 3/4 tank. thats all the movement the cluster will show. The light works though when it gets low. Any thoughts.

The float is stuck as well. I have the issue too, mine won't go past 1/2 tank. And I don't feel like going back in to fix it, so I use my mileage to calculate how much gas I have left.

If you don't put the float in correctly it wil get stuck under the fuel pump and it will get hung up. I just did my FP on my fwd and it was a PITA but apparently my sender was hung up as well because the light never came on and now it does, the guage worket before.

I've had the same problem, and the float wasn't hung on anything. it moved freely. i ended up changing my sending unit and it fixed my gauge.
