fuel pump not working????

ok so i baught a 90 talon tsi awd for $400 and have no history of the car at all. the car came with no engine but everything else. ok so heres my problem... put an engine in it, get everything hooked up,double checked and tripple checked everything. went to start the car and the fuel pump didnt turn on. so i went back unpluged it and checked tos ee if it was gettin any power. and nothing at all. what could this be??? i replased the fuse under the hood with a brand new one, and it still didnt have power. what else could be my problem??? any help would be appreciated.

sounds like the wiring is broken or pinched somewhere looks like you need to go through and check it
and hell my pump just took a shit so i know how it feels
