Stock engine internals 2g

That depends on not only the condition of the engine but how well the engine is tuned. A few members here have exceeded 400awhp on a stock 2G 7 bolt bottom end. That seems to be very near the limit for the 7 bolt con rods. They usually start bending or just plain snap off before reaching 450awhp. Which is way more than the average member here would ever need or be able to harness on the street.

yea i'm not even sure what i would do with 450 whp on the street. Sorry for sounding like a complete noob, but what is 7 bolt? I was looking on some other forums and heard them mention a 7 bolt flywheel.

6 bolt and 7 bolt designates the number of bolts that hold the flywheel on. As Zach stated, depending on condition, tune and overall condition of the engine it varies as to how much power you can make but you can expect a max somewhere in the 450hp range. Next time you have a question feel free to use the Search feature at the top of the page. When you get there change the selection from Search Entire Posts to Search Titles Only. This will next you usually at least a dozen threads about exactly what you want to know. You may have to vary the keywords you use but it will get you the answers you want and will get them a lot quicker than by waiting for someone to reply. For example I just typed in "stock internals" and here were my results. Also be sure to fill out your profile that way when you do have questions we know the current mods and what kind of car you have. Other than that enjoy the site!
