I would keep it around 20psi.
thats were i was thinking about keeping it around.. but still.. would i need to upgrrade anyting internally? i already have all the upgraded fuel stuff.. so i dont need that

i have a 96 talon TSI AWD , By following the upgrade path which i found on another Dsm forum site

Tech Guide: 2G 4G63t Upgrades: Stage 2 Power - DSMtuners

i was curious to if i ran a 20g turbo or gt35 turbo and followed the upgrade path from stage 1-2 , am i safe to run my stock internals and if so how much boost would be safe without danger of blowing it?

when upgrading the internals what is a good starting point?

30r, 28psi, e85, stock block..

Friends car running strong & he beats on it all the time..... no problems

The break point for most stock internals will be around the 400 mark. (Yes I know about the stock block record chasers)

But for most mortals about 400hp just the same.

Holly thread revival!!!

Sarasnick329,
Being your 96 as far as we know has a 7 bolt you will be limited in comparison to a 1g with a 6 bolt... .

Regardless being you found a over 8 year old thread to bring back from the dead

I'm sure you can find one of the MANY other more informative threads on here with all the info you are asking being discussed already :)

I really do wonder how people come across these threads and if they look at the date LOL.

Mygdsm, and banger11

Just means the new guy knows how to use the search. Found a thread that was his samm basic question and added on to it.
