Who are some fast people using stock cams? Setups? Boost/Timing?

Getting some ideas for my new 60-1 950cfm turbo.

Thanks

Well I am not using the 60-1, but the EVO3 and I have stock cams and they hold until 5800rpm and holding 14lbs of boost. 298whp/281wtq.

with a turbo like that cams would make a huge difference....

I would recommend a high rise cam. With the spool time on a turbo that big you're going to want something that is intended for higher rpm ranges. That way you get the most out of your new turbo set up. :thumb:

Why do you have a 60-1 and only running 20 psi? They dont even begin to make real power till 24psi. And it also pulls well beyond 6000rpm so you really need to get cams to get the most out of it. Seems to me that you went larger than what you need or have a use for as far as the turbo is concerned.

Same thing I was thinking.... I upgraded cams from the stock 90 to the Crower 264/272 setup and it makes a very big difference. My car is faster at 20 psi than it was at 24 psi with the other cams. And at 24 psi, it is pretty fun to drive. You will lose a few hundred rpms of spoolup but the gains above 6500 rpms are well worth it.

I have not begun to turn the boost up that high yet. I just have it set mildly at 20lbs. This turbo is not to big.
