So I have an ebay ssqv recirculated, bcs restrictor removal and a autometer boost gauge. My 97 gst spyder 5-spd is bone stock other than those three things. I noticed that my car will spike to 15-16psi then drop to 10-11psi. And during a 4th gear pull the boost started to slowly drop to about 8psi.

try a boost leak test it could be your bov leaking i wouldnt know for sure i have no first had experience with the fake ssqv

The T-25 is so small that the wastegate can't keep up with how quick its making boost, it will spike without the BCS pretty much garunteed, mine did it all the time.

The problem with the spike is that the t25 is not a turbo that can hold boost levels past 12 psi steadily.
No matter what boost level you dial in, you can count on the t25 reaching it and then falling back down.
The turbo wasn't designed to be as efficient for high boost levels and to top it off the wastegate isn't as strong either. Your best bet would be to upgrade to at least a 14b or bigger turbo.

he's right and if your looking for a 14b or 16g. I got two of both.

The car has the bcs still, I just took out the restrictor. And I thought the 2g was only suppose to be at 10psi stock, not 15. That is the main question. If the bov was leaking that would lower the boost not make it higher.

Also, the boost always drops to 10psi by 4k, I'm guessing thats why it feels like the car hits a wall at 4k. I found out that if it hits 15psi and I drop the throttle to 75% it will stay at 13-15psi until I drop the throttle all the way or hit wot.

+1 on the boost leak. Yes the t25 sucks in every way imaginable but it should hold steady at least @ 12psi. I have a leaky intake manifold gasket I found today and its acting the exact same way. Do you ever hear a strange kazoo or noise similar to lifter tick at higher rpms when the boost is above 8psi? Look for discoloration on the aluminum of the intake under the injectors. You can also try spraying TB cleaner and it will change the idle. I noticed bad gas mileage and then idle surge off and on.
