after installing a 3inch downpipe with 3inch cat (cali legal) it seems like I dont have ANY Boost Control what so ever... I also have a small 16g turbo and a slowboy mani and the Stock o2 housing.

Right now I'm working on getting the housing ported but I feel like I missed somthing...

help please thanks:aha:

Your running a high flowing manifold, on a quick spooling turbo, with a very restrictive stock 02 housing and unrestricted Downpipe .....

Of course youll get creep....

Port your 02 housing, port and port.
Port the wastegate flapper on your turbo hotside.

I had an FP race mani, Open dump 02 housing, 3" DP no cat and I still had creep to 18 psi.

Porting the Wastegate flapper was the only cure. There is plenty of info about doing that

I still don't understand boost spike, but I think I have it. my car has stock internals with minor bolt ons and it seems when I floor it it climbs to 17psi fast and then falls to 11-12 right away. Also I have no boost controller, so I thought that was pretty high

OMG Ah! I get it! its the bottle neck redirecting all that presure messing up my boost control!

I'm getting the o2 housing ported asap

thanks!!

So I got the turbo and o2 ported pretty good, so no more crazy boost spikes... I'm running 12psi and sometimes shoots up to 14psi.

with that said I'm now having idle issues, whenever I come to a stop or go into neutral the rpms from from 7000 to zero and the car dies... any advice?

A 3 inch downpipe is gonna make you spike no matter what you do. I have a evo3 16g, evo3 manifold, ported o2 housing, 3 inch catback. When I had it at stock boost 11 pounds it would not spike at all. I just put my downpipe last night and now it spikes up to 22 pounds. Sounds like you fixed the spike problem. I think I need to port my turbo for it not to spike
