how accurate are these things? mine seems to read about 9 psi at 4000 rpm + then it spikes to like 13 or 14 when i get close to 6500 rpm i know from my overall knowledge that its either the gauge is off or my wastegate is messed up. just want to see if anyone else has this problem. car is stock with a turboback no cat i think 3 inch.

Your OEM boost gauge is a calculated reading that is run by your ECU. You cant trust that thing farther than you can throw it. The thing doesnt even have numbers, How accurate can it be?

1g's have numbers guys....LOL. The gauge is accurate, just not for boost. If you had dsmlink/ecmlink you could set it up to show a whole assortment of different readings like knock, o2 voltage etc....

so can i use my stock ecu to do a dsm link? get it socketed chipped and dattalogged? where can i do it at? can i just buy a ECU thats ready to link up to dsm link?

At the time he didnt have what car he was driving filled out ROFL Otherwise I knew that :D

I own a 1G and my gauge (checked by after market) is off quite a bit. It goes up to 1 kg/cm2, which roughly is about 14 P.S.I. Does anyone know what the boost limit on the turbo in relation to stock wastegate?

I'm going to suggest getting your ECU socketed, and getting a DSMChips Stage 3 chip, unless you have big goals. But for anything 300whp and under, I'd get a DSMChips Stage 3..

Mine was awesome, and I wish I would of kept using it until I got my talon to 300whp, I'm pretty sure it would of run better than a 12.7 when I raised the boost from 15-22 which is when I got DSMLink.

I'm not saying DSMLink isnt better, it's much better if you get a good tune.. But for the money unless you're a great tuner, DSMChips especially at a stock level is a great cheap investment.

Otherwise, get a boost gauge, some 550cc injectors, walbro pump, FPR, wideband, boost controller, keydiver chip.. Go to 18psi and enjoy!
