ok before any flames, I HAVE AN AFTERMARKET BOOST GAUGE im just trying to see if it works right

i have no leaks (unless there is one at the boost gauge) and im only boosting 10 psi but the gauge is reading 5 psi

the stock boost gauge however climbs all the way up to almost the top and stays in place.

am i hitting 10 psi and the gauge just not reading it? or do i need to rewire my boost gauge

also is there anywhere else i can wire my boost gauge up to other than the lines going in the fuel pressure solenoid

If you stock gauge pegs but your aftermarket guage reads 5 psi and you think your hitting 10 psi you have several problems.

If you received a boost gauge with a nylon hose did you possibly kink the hose? That can cause low readings. How did you tap it into the FRP Solenoid hose?

You can use any place that sees manifold pressure and vacuum to run the boost gauge from. The FRP Solenoid is handy because of where it's located and because it already has a inline coupler you can remove and insert a tee for the gauge.

The only way you can know if you don't have any boost leaks is by pressure testing. So how high did you test to and how long did it hold that pressure without additional air?

i pressure tested with soapy water and held it pressurized for about 30 seconds. no leaks anywhere (i did have tons of leaks at first and fixed them all)

at the T for my boostgauge i ditched the nylon hose and used vaccuum line to run it to the gauge.

i ran electrical tape around the T and tried to see if i could hold any air in that was leaking, it bogged the car down whenever i tried to boost but then it corrected and i could hit 10 psi on my after market boost gauge then after taking off the tape it went back down to 5 on my

the whole time my stock boost gauge is maxing out at 10 psi and holding steadily till 5500 rpms
