ok the other day when i was tring to put on a CAI, i was striping off the stock air system. I got it all off down to the stock air box. I took the three gold bolts out and still could not get it off. There is a tube in the center for the air to come in and its holding it in. How do i get that off? Do i have to pull the fuse box out also?

Im not positive because its been a while but i believe there is 4 gold bolts holding it on... i dunno ill check for ya when i get home.

im not sure if this is the correct way of removing it but, theres 4 clips that surround the circle where the air comes in, take something thin like a flathead screw driver, or a knife and push down on the clip and place the screw driver on top of it...do this on all 4 clips, leaving a knife, screwdriver, etc on top of each clip and then gently pull the air box cover off.

I always just ripped mine off when I got to that point. It did give me alittle trouble the first time though. But with alittle force, it came right off. Just don't smack your hand on something if you do that. It hurts...

ok i just checked and theres only 3 bolts not 4, my mistake. i took some pics of the inside of the box and the mounting spot on the car, it looks like you just give it a good tug, but its been over 2 years so i cant remember.

PS dont mind the messy work space, im working on the turbo project so tools are everywhere!
