Will a stock stock 7 bolt bottom end be able to handle a gt30r at 20 psi ? I plan on getting fp2 cams and a manley spring/retainer set but keeping the bottom end stock for now ?

Most people with strokers rev to 7500 max. There are a few that rev higher but that does not mean it should be done. My mechanic has built more strokers than he can count and the 6 bolt fails at high rev. He has had only one bad 7 bolt and is running one in his car 600+. If you compare the cranks the 6 bolt is thinner in one spot and thats where it fails. 6 bolts are way better for 2.0's. Why would he warranty his 7 bolt lifetime but not the 6 bolt. He has seen problems.

I kinda disagree, since Jake "TopStreet" has a 6bolt stroker and revs it to 9600rpms

I know the car quite well, and can vouch for that one. Jake is a close friend of mine.

I, on the other hand, was one of the first guys out there with a 7-bolt stroker "butcher" crank setup using 99-spec crank and split thrust bearings.

Darrin at FFWD is responsible for the cranks, and pistons in motors for both Jake (and rods) and myself/

I also rev conservatively to 8000-8200rpms. Jake safely revs a little higher with the addition of BLE solid lifters.

I will be adding a FP3052 (same as 3076, ir GT30R) to my stock 7bolt bottom end this year & running 22-24 psi daily & don't see me having any issues. I know of more then a few that run 24-27 psi daily on their stock 7 bolts. They aren't as weak as lots of people make them out to be. Like any other motor its all in the tune :thumb:

I've heard that 7 is better built as well. just the crank walk problem that comes with them is crapy. I myself didn't have that problem but it did spin a bearing at 165k. But my 6-bolt didn't do any better its dead:beatentodeath: to and it only worked for 10 days. It almost makes me wish that i would have just stuck with the 7-bolt and put a 1g head on there.
