Well I did a boost leak test last night, and found a few leaks. I fixed them and took the car for a drive today. Well I am still getting mad boost creep. By 3k it will boost to 11 psi, but by 4500 it will creep up to 18 psi. This is really pissing me off, as i am on stock fuel system right now. My dejon mbc has an inline fittingwith a bleeder hole in it. It also came with a fitting with no hole. Should i try the no hole? This fitting goes between the mbc and the wastegate.

Thanks for the help.

Tried that one too, couldn't break it loose either. So I went back to the one on top, and kinda cracked the fuel line :( So I don't know what to do now.

Everyone I have talked to at the dealership said that it is one of the hardest things on our cars to break apart. They overtightned them at the factory. Depending on which side you cracked the fuel line at, I would go to the junk yard and find another fuel pump cover. As far as trying to loosen under the car. One of the sides can rotate, the other side can't. So just make sure you are rotating the right side. The fitting on the Fuel Pump cover doesn't rotate on the 2g's, don't know about the 1g. So it was twisting the entire fuel line when I was trying to take mine off at the fuel pump cover, and then would immediatly retighten.

Ok well i FINALLY got the pump installed. I cut the fuel line coming out of the cover, and put some fuel line between there that I picked up at Pepboys and clamped it nice and tight.

As for the studs on the tank cover, Only 1 was left after I got done with it LOL :( So I used some jbweld to seal it on. Took it for a short drive tonight, and nothing has leaked yet.

Hopefully my dpconcepts "boost creep kit" will come in tomorrow so I can install that.

I'll update if anything happens

The kit didn't come in today either. I'm going to email him and ask where it is.

On a crappy note, went to get some gas today, and I am leaking again. So I won't be driving anymore until this weekend. I am going to drain and drop the tank. And drill out those busted studs and put some stainless screws in there so it seals nice and tight.

I just got the kit in the mail. It consists of an L-shaped bracket with a spring at one end, 2 washers, 2 spacers of some sort, and what looks like a new pin for the wastegate actuator arm.

Hopefully I can get it installed this weekend. But I first have to drain and drop my gas tank, and drill out 5 broken studs from the cover of the sending unit, and put some screws in.

I havent driven the car since Monday, it sucks LOL.

I'll update when I get the car running again with the kit installed.

Well i installed the kit yesterday. I tested it by hooking up my air compressor to the wastegate actuator nipple. The wastegate flapper did indeed much farther than stock. Stock it would only open about 1/3 of the way, but now it would open a little over halfway.

The only problem though, is the flapper wouldn't close with the kit installed. There was too much play in the assembly after installed.

To install the kit, you are supposed to disconnect the actuator arm, then take the actual actuator off, and add a nylon spacer and washer to the mounting point, and put it back on so it would mount the actuator farther away from the turbo. Then they give you some cheap ass arm pin braket that slips over the old one. There was way too much free play with the new bracket on, i tried everything from putting the bracket in a vice to close it more, to using a whole bunch of different combos of spacers and washers. I just could not get the flapper to close.

They also give u a bracket and spring that mounts on the exhaust manifold and stretches a spring down to the old arm pin on the wastegate flapper. I think it is supposed to help the flapper open more.

Well since the flapper won't close with the kit installed, I tried using just the spring to see if that would help.

Took it for a test drive, it didnt do jack sh!t.

So it turned out to be a waste of $30, but I decided to try it and let everyone know what it was all about.

My next step will be porting :D, too bad i have no free time.

Well now you have the free time till your gas tank is fixed.

I am about to go start porting my 2g manifold and O2 housing. Should be done today if i'm lucky.

Lol, I replaced the tank and pump like 3 weeks ago.
I did some porting last weekend, and apparently I didn't port enough, because I still creep.
It's just that it takes so long with a dremel haha.

I am gonna go at it again this weekend.
