Steering wheel nut problem...

Hey everyone,
Well I recently bought a 93 talon and then pulled the steering wheel cause the guy wanted it back. I have a grant wheel I tried to put on but messed up good. Heres the deal, I gave him back the center nut with his wheel and he gave me a new bolt and told me to use that one but after pushing really hard to get the nut on I realised I was rethreading the shaft... soooo heres my problem... I think I have enough of the original thread to fit on a nut if I can find the right one... but after going to home depot I couldn't find one that fits. Does anyone know what the right size/thread for the nut is??

I'd just go to the junkyard and get the nut you need.

Or just get it from your local dealership.

Next trip to Home Depot, ask for a Thread Chasing File. It'll clean up the threads you fcuked up.
